Location: Facebook Live (Aull Center)
Join Aull Center staff for a presentation on the major Indian trails that ran through what became Monongalia County prior to the arrival of Europeans as part of their series of events for Native American Heritage Month. Learn about where they were located, who and what traveled along them, and what major historical events they connected the area to.
Indian trails were well-worn footpaths that stretched in a network from one end of the continent of North America to the other. They carried people, trade goods, and war across hundreds and thousands of miles. Many West Virginian major roads lie on top of the former routes of Indian trails.
This event will be virtual and pre-recorded. It will premiere on the Aull Center Facebook page.
