Sign up for the 2023 Summer Reading Program (June and July) with programs for children (grades 1-5), teens, and adults (ages 18+)! Registration starts on June 1st on Beanstack for the Summer Reading Program!

Beanstack is a website and app that serves as an interactive home for all reading challenges and events. It’s your one-stop-shop to not only register for this summer reading challenge, but to also track your reading habits and unlock badges! New to Beanstack? Check out our easy-to-follow instructions!
Earn Prizes
Participation Prizes:
Log at least 3 books on Beanstack and you will go home with our Summer Reading Program system-wide prize: a LEGO kit!
Grand Prize Drawings:
By logging at least 3 books on Beanstack, Tweens/Teens will be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing through Beanstack! One lucky winner will receive a $50 Barnes & Noble Gift Card! The drawing is weighted — so the more you read, the higher your chances of winning.
You must pick-up prizes in person at one of our locations.
Craft Kits
Tweens and Teens are invited to pick up themed craft kits at any of our locations while supplies last!
Week 1 (June 12-17): “Field Guide to Your Life” Craft Kit

Teen Friendship Trivia Night
Date: Wednesday, June 14 | 6:00pm
Location: Morgantown Public Library
Test your knowledge of friends in books, movies, and TV shows. We will also be making trail mix for the snack.
Community Service Night
Date: Thursday, June 22 | 6:30pm
Location: Morgantown Public Library
Scott’s Run Community Center will have a service project set up where people of all ages can put food or school supplies into backpacks. We will also have little booths set up where people can write thank you notes to community workers like firemen, EMTs, etc.
Breakfast Around the World
Date: Thursday, July 6 | 5:00pm
Location: Morgantown Public Library
Come and sample breakfast food from different countries. We will be watching the Norwegian movie Trollhunters while we eat. There will be recipe cards for you to take home. The movie is rated PG-13 for creature violence, minor swearing, and minor horror elements. Registration is required.
STEM Lego Night
Date: Wednesday, July 12 | 6:00pm

Come and build stuff with Legos with other kids! Ages 12-18.
Make Amazing Boxes
Date: Wednesday, July 19 | 6:00pm
Location: Morgantown Public Library
Come make an Amazing Box, which is a small box that you decorate and fill with little treats, to give to someone that you think is amazing! You can also make a self-affirmation box as a treat for yourself.
