Sue Carpenter

Sue Carpenter graduated from Shepherd College in 1965 with a BA in Elementary Education. She taught grades 1-3 in Frederick, Maryland, Kaiserslautern in Germany, and Gifted Education in Berkeley County, West Virginia.

Carpenter received a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance from West Virginia University in 1980 and a Masters in Social Work and Public Administration in 1982. She retired from Morgantown Hospice as the Director after 30 years in social work.

She is a member of Spruce Street United Methodist Church and Service League of Morgantown. Her hobbies include cooking and baking, gardening and reading. She enjoys traveling, learning through classes OLLI, and keeps active with exercise classes and walking/hiking.
