Friends of the Library

The purpose of The Friends of the Morgantown Public Library is to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs in the Morgantown community. All proceeds raised by the Friends benefit the Morgantown Public Library.

Book Sale

The Friends sell donated books in the basement of the Morgantown Public Library.

Tuesdays from 11:00am – 2:00pm
1st and 3rd Saturdays from 9:30am – 12:30pm

A wide variety of books are available, including novels (literary, mystery, crime, romance, science fiction, westerns), children’s, teens, sports, cookbooks, religion, computer, travel, biographies, etc.; audio books and DVDs are also available.

Prices are generally 90% or more off of original retail price with some exceptions; an additional ½ off sale is held every 1st Saturday.

Want to become a member of The Friends of the Morgantown Public Library? Your annual membership supports the library and entitles you to receive a 10% discount at the Friends book sale. All proceeds benefit the Morgantown Public Library.

$5 for students
$10 for individuals
$25 for family
$100 for a lifetime membership

Membership can be mailed to Friends, 373 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV 26505 or delivered in person during the book sale.
