Patrons Must Wear Masks

Dear Morgantown Library Patrons,

To help protect our patrons and employees, all persons entering the Morgantown Public Library’s facilities must wear a face covering at all times, beginning tomorrow, July 6, 2020.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control recommends the use of face coverings to slow the spread of the virus. With a resurgence in infections in the area, we have decided to mandate masks. Please keep in mind, this policy does not apply to children under the age of 2. Those who are unable to wear a face covering are encouraged to use our curbside pickup service.

All Morgantown Public Library staff are required to wear face masks and now we are asking our patrons to do the same. We understand some may find this requirement to be objectionable. However, we believe these safety measures are worth the inconvenience. As a central gathering space for the community, we ask that we all undertake this simple but important precaution together.

Please keep in mind that masks are not a substitute for social distancing. We ask patrons to continue to keep a safe distance from others.

Thank you for your cooperation. Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at askmympls@gmail.com or 304-291-7425.
