The Morgantown Public Library, Downtown Branch, Will Be Temporarily Closed for HVAC Installation
You may have noticed higher-than-normal temperatures at the downtown branch. For over a month, the library’s air conditioning has ceased working in multiple areas throughout the library. Given the summer heat and mask mandate, it has been quite uncomfortable for staff and patrons. Much to everyone’s relief, we have set a date with contractors to replace the outdated HVAC system: Friday, July 24th to Monday, July 27th. During this time the library will be CLOSED. We plan to reopen on Tuesday, July 28th, assuming all goes to plan.
We appreciate your patience during this time. Although we will be suspending curbside pickup service during this closure, our 24/7 Digital Library can meet you wherever you are: https://www.mympls.org/download-it/
