Updated Mask Policy
Dear Morgantown Library Patrons,
Based on Governor Jim Justice’s executive order and recommendations from the Monongalia County Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we are now requiring all persons, over the age of 9, entering Morgantown Public Library System facilities to wear a face covering at all times. There are no exemptions to this order.
To continue to keep our doors open, we believe wearing masks and social distancing is the best way to keep staff and patrons safe. Rising infections in the area means we, as a community gathering space, must take great precautions moving forward.
Our mission has always been to serve “our community through open access to information, resources, and experiences” and our priority is to do this safely. For those unable to wear masks within our facilities, we began curbside pickup services on May 29th, 2020 so you can have access to the usual library collections. Additionally, our 24/7 digital library at mympls.org gives anyone with a library card access to thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, music, movies, and much more.
We strive to be as transparent as possible and update you as soon as we can. Thank you for your cooperation. Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at askmympls@gmail.com or 304-291-7425.
